There are many lakes to fish in France, but very few that can compare to Les Fortinieres. Producing the most amazing quality mirror and common carp.
After years of fishing in France we wanted to own & run our own lake, somewhere we felt was special and Les Fortinieres is that place. If you are looking for stunning big carp ,in a fantastic location, with luxury lakeside accommodation and swimming pool then Les Fortinieres is it.
Located in central France within beautiful mature private grounds inside the Brenne National Park, this is a wildlife sanctuary and area of outstanding natural beauty. There is lots to see and do here if you can tear yourself away from the fishing, if you want to fish just sit back and relax. This is also a great holiday destination, the local shops are just 10 minutes and the historic town of Chateauroux is just 30 minutes away. The airports of Limoges, Tours & Poitiers are approximately 1 hour.
The Lake
Les Fortinieres is a 7 acre lake with lots of features including 3 islands, silt areas, a long sandbank, overhanging trees and reed beds. There are 4 swims to choose from, 2 are located near the accommodation the other 2 are on the opposite bank. The lake and grounds are breathtaking through the seasons. The lake along with countless pristine big carp and luxury lakeside accommodation make Les Fortinieres a top fishing & holiday destination for the serious angler.

Both bedrooms have wardrobes and chests of draws , remote control ceiling fans and lights and wood flooring throughout. There are bathrooms, with showers, on both floors. You just need to bring your own towels etc.
The spacious top of the range kitchen / dining area has a table with six chairs. You do need to bring your own crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc if you choose to cook yourself. There is also a large lounge area with two comfy sofas.
Outside the gîte under the covered veranda there is a table and six chairs for outside dining or relaxing.
Around the pool area there are more seating areas and sun loungers.
